Maybe disaster and mayhem is a little melodramatic - maybe disaster and destruction is a better combination of words, but when you walk outside and pots are blow over and plants are in pieces, it briefly feels that way. The wind the last couple of weeks has been crazy especially before a storm blows in. It comes up fast and next thing I know pots and plants are all over the place. Last week I walked outside and five pots had blown over. Two of them had broken and the other three had broken plants. I added another stake to my tomato pot; thoroughly watered the Mexican sage; the amaranth is a goner; the moon flowers moved to a new pot; and the snail flower was also moved to a new pot. Good thing there was a good clearance sale at Bath Nursery.

I like the new pot. Only had one chip. It is bright and cheery. |
