My idea of a perfect day is going to a flea market, shopping at one of my favorite stores and looking at pretty plants. This is exactly what Saturday was for me. I started early at the
Paris Street Flea Market. I arrived 30 minutes after starting and it was crazy. Luckily there was some parking left and I didn't have to walk too far. I have discovered I must have a plan for doing this type of shopping otherwise I get overwhelmed and run out of money early. I decided my focus was on finding unusual stuff to plant plants in. I was tempted by those plant stands and vintage pots that I found, but my focus was rewarded with something - not sure what to call what I bought but it is perfect for the garden and will look great next year with plants growing out of it.
Next stop was the Sundance store at Park Meadows. I was smart (again) and I did some pre-shopping online so I knew what I was interested in. Plus what I was looking for was on sale. I left very happy.
Last, I made a stop at the
Denver Botanic Gardens. It was super hot in the afternoon. I really don't do hot. You won't find me moving to Arizona or any place like that. As always I found inspiration and the need to dig up more grass so I can have more plants in my yard.

My flea market purchase. The plan is to line it with that stuff (I can't think of the name) and fill it with dirt and have plants coming out the sides. |

It was a busy day for weddings at the Gardens. Maybe I can convince my next husband to get married there. |
 |
I think I did a decent job capturing the fuzzy velvet texture of these plants. |

I can't remember the name of these moths. There was an article several years ago in the Colorado Gardener on these insects so I at least know they are moths. |

This is in the Japanese garden. This is my dream path. The only problem is it can be hot when the sun is shining directly on it. |
