My cats are garden cats not outdoor cats. They are only allowed to go outside when we are outside, usually when I am working in the yard. 99% of the time they stay in the backyard. It is an excellent place for bird watching and bug hunting.
I have no idea how Ben caught this bird. He is very successful at catching and torturing miller moths; otherwise Ben is a domesticated house cat. I can only assume the bird was injured. Ben desperately wanted to bring the bird inside and was quite irritated when I wouldn't let him inside.
