We Survived

Polly Pissy Pants! That was me yesterday morning.  I woke up on the wrong side of the bed.  I am pretty sure it was because we were preparing for our first official outing to get supplies.  I was up by 7:30 am; I dressed decently; and I did my hair which is not that hard because it is short.  I had my mask made.  No, I am not a fan of wearing a mask, but our Governor nicely asked so I decided to comply.  I tried the no-sew version.  Not a huge fan of that style.  It is very thick and breathing was hard.  Now I know I don't have anything to compare this to, but I am going to spend sometime sewing a couple different versions and then decide.

First stop of the day was Costco which was not too bad.  Yes, I felt there were still too many people out but everyone was trying to keep there distance and the shelves were stocked.  I would say it was 50/50 people wearing and not wearing masks.  We tried to get enough food that we could freeze and eat over time.  Second stop was Lucky's Market.  OMG - we are totally shopping there from now on.  It was not busy, shelves were stocked and it had a nice selection of food.  Mixing it up and eating different foods does help.  The best part was they had flour.  They were measuring it out and I probably only got 2 lbs but that should be good enough for a while.  The only thing I did not look for was eggs.

After our big day, I spend the rest of it on the sofa.  I literally made myself sick because of stress.  The day felt like we had been to a funeral and we couldn't process or deal with anything else.  I hope every outing is not that way.

Today the sun is shining so I am going to enjoy it by working in the yard and hanging out with my cats.

I have been making sourdough biscuits and bread on the weekends.
