Goodbye Catalpa Tree

I pulled the trigger and got a quote to remove the catalpa tree in my backyard.  It wasn't an easy decision but the time has come.  Every year it leafs out and blooms and then at some point during the summer part of it defoliates and some of it comes back and some it doesn't.  The tree hasn't grown in years because of this.  There is a wilt in the soil that is causing this and there is no real treatment.  I am a believer in growing plants trees, shrubs and other plants that are suited to the Front Range and the many challenges to growing here.

The tree will be coming out next week.  I have a couple of options, but nothing concrete yet.  Stay tuned!!
