It is so dry. We haven't had any real moisture since early October. I think the mountains are doing pretty good, but along the Front Range it is DRY. We had a light dusting on New Year's Eve, but nothing to write home about.
I did do some watering before Christmas, but I should have watered more deeply. The assumption was we were supposed to get some measurable snow right after Christmas but that didn't happen. When I look at the forecast, there is no snow with temperatures consistently in the upper 40s to low 50s. I can't complain about the nice temperatures. It makes my afternoon walks more enjoyable.
The reality is we need moisture and if we don't get any, I will be dragging the hose out and doing some real watering.

I foolishly did not cut back the garlic chives and there will be millions of new garlic chive sprouts in the spring. |
