Dead Tomato Plant

Knock on wood - I have been very lucky the last couple of years and haven't lost any plants to disease.   I was surprised that my San Marzano tomato plant died.  I left it wilting for several weeks before I finally admitted that it was done.  I pulled it and planted some of the spare tomato plants that were living under the spruce tree.  I am not expecting them to do anything.  They possibly could end up dying like the San Marzano.  I just couldn't look at a half empty barrel.

I originally planted some pepper plants in the same barrel. 

Yep - it's dead. 

Not quite as naked now with the new tomato plants.
