Last Blooms of the Summer

I suspect this is the last big bloom for my roses.  I guess I am feeling sentimental because we are on the downhill side of summer.  Considering the beating they took last summer from the hail storm and the winter, they have done well this season.  No bug and lots of blooms.

Margo Koster is being overtaken by the cransebill "Rozanne".

I had to cut the Westerland all the way back to the ground.  That is the first time I had to do this. I was a little worried but it came back strong.

Golden Showers.  I was worried the most about this rose this spring.  I had to cut it to the ground and then nothing new came up and then suddenly there was new growth.

Queen Nefertiti.  I didn't have to cut too much back this Spring on this rose.

Queen Nefertiti - It smells so good.

Winnipeg Parks.  I think I should have cut it back harder.  Oh well there is next year.

Winnipeg Parks.  It doesn't have much of a scent.

Hope for Humanity.  This is my least favorite rose.  The description on the tag said 2 feet tall, but the tag was wrong.  It gets much larger which is fine, but it leggy.  I cut it back hard which seemed to help the shape and I wonder if I need to do that every year.
