One our way back from Monterey we were discussing what our favorite part of the trip was and we both decided it was our visit to Hearst Castle. Even though everything was brown and dry, the scenery/location was stunning. Unfortunately, we didn't get to spend as much time as we wanted at the Castle or the surrounding areas, but it is high on our list to revisit.
