My yard and plants are extremely confused about what time of year it is. The weather has been very warm with little moisture. I took advantage of the nice weather yesterday and I pulled all of the pots with plants out of the garage and watered them. I also pulled out the garden hose and watered as many of the perennials, shrubs and trees as I could reach. While I was watering I noticed plants that had died back are putting up new growth and my manzanita is flowering. That can't be good because they set in the buds in the fall and then blooms in late winter. It does look really pretty and while I was taking pictures of it, I noticed bees around the flowers. Hopefully mother nature is smarter than the rest of us and the plant will be okay if and when it does get cold.
