Something I Should Have Done This Summer

I really should have trimmed back my mock orange bushes this summer.  I had them on the list I created last fall as something I needed to do after they bloomed.  I didn't and that was a HUGE mistake.  They are very full this year and smothered out the other plants.  So next year, I absolutely must cut them back. 

Poor red rose is growing the wrong direction.
