Never Ending Gardening Projects

I am not the type of gardener who can just sit still and enjoy it.  I always have a plan to make everything bigger and better.  Thus, I am good at planning but not so good on the follow through.  I decided last fall that I would redo the flower bed on the west side of the house.  There wasn't really anything wrong with it.  It just needed some sprucing up.  The echinacea had taken over and the husker red penstemon was spotty.  I yanked up some of the echinacea and dug up and moved some of the penstemon which made room for the Autumn Sapphire Sage and Blonde Ambition gamma grass.   I am sure these plants will provide much more color and variation that the space was lacking.  (Sound Good?!).

Right now the space looks a little odd as the new plants fill in but next spring and summer it will be everything I hoped for.

A good photo always has a cat in it

I also moved the sad red hot poker plant which was not thriving on the west side.

It doesn't look bad.  Just needs more color.

This weed was several feet tall.  Not sure how I missed it.
