This summer has started out as the summer of bugs. Aphids, spiders, flies, grasshoppers, bees and other insects that I can't see. So far the aphids are the worst. One of my oak trees glistens in the sun because of the aphids. My roses look like a resort for them. They are covered. I have been spraying with insecticidal soap. What they need is a good rain and tons more ladybugs. On the upside, I have seen more bees this year then I can remember. I guess I can live with the good bugs and the bad bugs.
