Last year both my mom and I bought miniature poinsettias. In the late spring/early summer, I replanted both of them and they spent the summer outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Normally, I dump them in the fall after the first frost. Since our first frost was so late, I kept them going and then moved them into the garage in late October. There they have been sitting quite happily.
Instead of buying new poinsettias this year, I decided why not bring them inside and enjoy them. The only problem is I don't have any holiday looking pots to put them in. For now they will have to stay in the same pot and maybe I can find some cute red or green pots to put them in.
