Spring Chores

Every year I am reminded that the Spring clean up is a long process.  For some reason this year seems more painful than I remember.  I think part of the issue is I am doing it differently.  Normally, I devote one day or the whole weekend to cleaning and cutting everything back (minus the roses).  This year I just spent part of a day cutting back the big stuff and then I have been slowing spending weekend afternoons and evenings doing the smaller stuff.  I am not sure I am going to do this next year.  It is dragging on too long.

I need to have the following accomplished by the end of the weekend.
  1. I need plant the pansies I bought last week
  2. I need to plant potatoes and onions
  3. I need to mark where the grape hyacinths are planted so I can dig and divide them later in the summer
  4. I need to finished cleaning up the northwest corner of the garden.
  5. I need to plant all of the new plants I bought at the Fort Collins Nursery sale.
  6. I need to finish making a list of the plants that did not survive the winter (I bought replacements for some at the plant sale, but not everything)
I think this seems pretty reasonable.
