No Frost Yet

The low Friday night into Saturday morning was 32 degrees.  Luckily no frost.  I have a general rule where I will cover for the first frost or first warning and then the second time it depends on how tired I am of all of the tomatoes.  It is so time consuming moving all of the plants in pots and covering everything else.  My vegetable garden is not laid out very well this year so covering the tomatoes, peppers and eggplant was challenging.  The weather forecast this week is sunny and warm.  Next week is nice just not as warm.  No complaints.

I had to bring in everything from the front porch.  Leo loved it.  It was a jungle.

All of the various pots from the yard filled with annuals.

San Marzano tomatoes in the barrel

I decided to cover the blackberries.  Too many to let go.

My large agave can handle the cold, but I decide to cover it any way.

View of vegetable garden. I had to break some sunflowers to get everything covered.

Basil.  Still have pesto to make and freeze.
