On Saturday August 3, my worst nightmare happened - hail. In the 15+ plus years I have been gardening, I have been lucky and hail has missed my garden every summer. Trust me, every summer I watch the sky, check the weather report and pray to the gardening gods that this is not the day it HAPPENS. Well, it finally happened and I survived-barely It is amazing how in 30 minutes my entire vegetable garden was decimated and my perennials were shredded.
I have always thought about starting a gardening blog, but have talked myself out of it many times thinking who would be interested in a reading about a 40-something female gardening in Colorado. Maybe nobody or maybe my mom will read it, but at least it will be a record of my trials and tribulations in gardening.
